Sing for Hope

New Orleans

Sing for Hope harnesses power though the arts, to create a better world. We align with their mission and help bring Sing for Hope pianos to life in New Orleans.

Once these painted instruments are signed and sealed, they are completed with Sing for Hope plaques. A massive Exhibition launch is held at the New Orleans Jazz Museum, where the public is invited to play them for the first time! At the end of this event, each piano is sent of to their outside temporary location where the public enjoys them for 3 weeks. After this they are donated to a permanent location where they are enjoyed forever by the organizations community.

This project aims to support the creative economy, connect local organizations with culture, spread moments of joy in times of hardship, generate career-changing opportunities for creatives, and provide access to musical exploration to those without it.

Our artist applications start in November to recruit some of Nola’s best creatives. Our accepted Sing for Hope artists receive a studio, materials, and a $1,000 stipend to design and paint a refurbished piano. Designs are encouraged to be as culturally collaborative as possible! Artists have a blast painting all together in our massive studio!

Magic fills the streets as collaborations occur year-round between musicians, businesses, and artists ensue. We have plans to introduce music education programs after the 2024 activation.
